  Important: IOLDx Clinical is a clinical decision support tool. 
  It does not replace surgeon judgement. All IOL power recommendations must be verified 
  by a qualified ophthalmic surgeon before clinical use.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing IOLDx Clinical at precisioniol.com, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use this tool.

2. Intended Use

IOLDx Clinical is intended for use by qualified ophthalmic surgeons and eye care professionals as a decision support tool for IOL power calculation and surgical planning. It is not intended for use by patients or the general public as a diagnostic tool.

3. No Medical Advice

IOLDx Clinical provides IOL power calculations based on published formulae and data you enter. These calculations are decision support only and do not constitute medical advice. The treating surgeon is solely responsible for all clinical decisions. Formula outputs should always be reviewed in the context of the complete patient clinical picture.

4. Formula Accuracy and Limitations

IOLDx Clinical calculates IOL power using SRK/T, Hoffer Q, Holladay 1, and Haigis formulas based on published methodology. Constants used are population-mean defaults unless personalised by the surgeon. Formula accuracy depends on the quality of biometry input. The tool does not substitute for IOL-specific optimised constants derived from your own outcomes data.

Defocus curve data for 26 IOLs is sourced from FDA SSED documents and peer-reviewed literature. Curves labelled "Generated" are derived from published mean logMAR values and are approximate.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PrecisionIOL and its operators shall not be liable for any clinical outcome, adverse event, or loss arising from use or reliance on IOLDx Clinical. The tool is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind.

6. Intellectual Property

IOLDx Clinical software, design, and content are © 2026 PrecisionIOL. IOL product names (Clareon®, PanOptix®, TECNIS®, SYMFONY®, AcrySof®, and others) are trademarks of their respective owners (Alcon, Johnson & Johnson Vision, Bausch + Lomb). Use of these names is for identification purposes only and does not imply endorsement.

7. Prohibited Uses

Automated scraping or bulk data extraction
Use by unlicensed individuals for clinical decision-making
Redistribution or resale of calculator outputs as standalone products
Uploading images containing patient identifiers to the scan import feature

8. Changes to the Tool

We may update formula implementations, IOL data, or features at any time. We will note significant changes on the Security page.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
